The Fact-Check Gate is a hard publish barrier. Roono physically disables book compilation and CMS publishing while unresolved claim pins exist in the draft.
The Fact-Check Gate
Before any manuscript can be exported to EPUB 3, print PDF, or published to Ghost/WordPress/Substack, Roono runs a deterministic preflight check.
If any [C] Claim badge is unverified or any cited source is unresolved, the Publish button remains disabled, displaying the exact count of open items.
Generating Fact-Check Sheets
Writers can export an 'Annotated Editor Copy' or a standalone Fact-Check Sheet. This document lists every pin, source contact, exhibit excerpt, and timestamp in an audit ledger suitable for legal and editorial review. Open it from Document → Fact-Check Sheet.
Verifying & Resolving Claims
A claim pin stays open until you attach the exhibit or source that supports it, or you revise the sentence so the assertion is no longer in the draft. Resolved pins remain in the Moment history.
Publish, Compile, and CMS destinations stay disabled while any pin is unresolved. The preflight modal lists each open item. When the last claim is verified, the gate opens and the same recipe can run.
