Roono features a dedicated top-level Agent workspace (⌘J) for your own AI subscriptions (Claude Code, Antigravity agy, OpenAI Codex, Devin), governed by the Roono MCP server.

Found inconsistency in paragraph 2:
Draft states open bids are required on contracts above $40,000.
2023 Charter Amendment §7 raised this threshold to $45,000.
Calling Roono MCP tool: propose_draft_change()
→ Created branch: agent/fix-threshold
→ Posted proposal diff card to Write workspace.
Top-Level Agent Mode (⌘J)
Agent is not a chat sidebar; it is a full workspace mode sitting alongside Write and Canvas. It runs your official interactive CLI inside a native pseudo-terminal (PTY).
Supported Official CLIs
Writers log in directly with their provider account (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI). Roono never intercepts provider tokens or forces an AI subscription.
The Roono MCP Server
Roono exposes selected project context to the agent via Model Context Protocol (MCP). Agents can read approved sections and propose edits. Agents never have write access to your draft.
Reviewing & Accepting Proposals
When an agent calls the proposal tool, Roono creates an agent/ branch and renders the diff card in Write. The terminal is not scraped to invent that card.
- ⌘J
- Agent, and back to the previous writing mode. Agent is not a drawer in Write.
- Session tabs
- Codex, Claude Code, agy, and Devin. Each tab is a real PTY and can split.
- Roono MCP
- Approved context and proposal-only tools. The conversation stays in the official CLI.
- Accept ⏎
- Writes the proposal onto the draft, updates linked pins, the gate, and Timeline.
- Reject ⌫
- Archives the proposal branch. The draft is unchanged.
- Vault
- Not mounted into the agent workspace. Not available as a tool.
