Release History

Published releases from the signed update feed, newest first.

Published releases, newest first. The wording is the note that shipped with the GitHub release and the signed update feed. A build named inside an entry was carried in that release and was not published on its own.

  1. 1.1.8 · 18 September 2026

The Spatial board moves the way a board should. Cards drag freely to any point, a selection moves together, and a card dropped onto a group joins that group and leaves the one it came from. Double-clicking empty board space places the new card where you clicked, and double-clicking a character card opens its Story Bible entry.

Story Bible gives characters, places, and motifs their own records, with mentions found in the manuscript, backlinks, and a Cast list on every chapter. Open any entry beside the draft in the Reference Pane.

The Mind Map board links cards with labeled, directional arrows, groups them, colors them, and zooms to fit. Import a Scapple map from File, then turn a connected cluster into chapters or Story Roadmap cards with Map to Outline.

Compile adds EPUB 3 and print PDF with book metadata, cover, trim sizes, and preflight checks for Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, and Apple Books. A publish package writes the files, metadata sheet, and preflight report into one folder for you to upload.

The Outline lens is now a table with status, word count, and synopsis columns, a filter, and a Set Status menu built from the statuses your project uses. The Navigator, Compile sheet, and Story Planning lanes are redrawn for faster reading.

This build also carries 1.1.7, which was never published.

  2. 1.1.6 · 17 September 2026

Writing Tools with nothing selected now targets the paragraph under the caret instead of the whole manuscript, and the paragraph terminator stays out of the selection so a rewrite cannot merge two paragraphs. A second entry, Writing Tools on Entire Document, targets the whole manuscript on purpose.

The Write chrome gains one Writing Tools pill beside Focus. It shows only when Apple Intelligence Writing Tools are available on the Mac. The keyboard shortcut is Shift Command W from the Language menu.

Focus dimming and pin overlays pause while an inline Writing Tools replacement animates and resume when the edit commits, so the animation and the dimming no longer fight each other.

  3. 1.1.5 · 27 August 2026

Revision lenses work end to end. Pick a lens and its hits are underlined in the manuscript rather than only counted in the bar, and the Open lens points at the paragraph holding an unresolved note or pin. Lens counts follow your typing instead of the last save.

Language menu items now do what their labels say: Show Spelling and Grammar opens the guess panel, Complete Word completes the word at the caret, and Writing Tools targets the manuscript reliably.

The editor column is wider, so a draft reads as a page rather than a spine down the middle of the window. Split at caret and Merge with next grey out when the selection cannot take them.

This build also carries 1.1.4, which was never published: Story Canvas planning, writing sprints, and agent critique.

  4. 1.1.3 · 7 August 2026

Canvas Spatial keeps Add card visible on the Write From Board bar after the first card, and double-clicking empty board space opens the new-card sheet.

  7. 1.0.5 · 2 August 2026
