Continuance is the practice layer of the Writer IDE, supporting the person writing with quiet local sessions, Reset pauses, and courage Marks.
The Practice of Returning
Continuance rejects habit gamification, streaks, and artificial coaching theater. It recognizes that writing is a sustained practice of courageously returning to the page.
Quiet Local Sessions
Session events are recorded locally on your device, noting timestamps and word progress without uploading data or sending push notifications.
End-of-Session Marks
When concluding a writing session, Roono offers an optional Mark sheet: a brief reflection note on where you stopped and what to tackle tomorrow. Marks are courage notes, not scores.
The Reset Pause
Focus Mode can open with a brief Reset pause on the Night surface before the paragraph appears. It is dismissible, off by default, and never required to start writing.
