CaptureMood is a native RAW photography workspace for Apple Silicon Macs and iPadOS. It is built for photographers who need to import, organize, cull, develop, and deliver high-volume shoots with zero cloud dependency, no account requirements, and no monolithic catalog lock-in.
Filesystem Authority
Traditional photo managers force your RAW files into monolithic, proprietary database vaults. When that database corrupts, your edits and access disappear.
CaptureMood operates on Filesystem Authority: your RAW files remain ordinary files on your external SSD or Mac storage. Authored edits, star ratings, and flags are saved directly beside original files in human-readable .s612 text sidecars.
The internal catalog (catalog.s612db) is a disposable cache used purely for instantaneous SQL search and grid paging. You can delete the database at any moment without losing a single edit.
Supported Camera RAW Formats
CaptureMood leverages both Apple ImageIO and LibRaw for high-fidelity 14-bit and 16-bit sensor decodes. Supported camera bodies include Canon (CR2, CR3), Sony (ARW), Nikon (NEF), Fujifilm (RAF, including X-Trans sensors), Leica / Apple (DNG), Hasselblad (3FR), Phase One (IIQ), Panasonic (RW2), and Olympus (ORF).
Apple Silicon & Metal Acceleration
The rendering engine is engineered specifically for Apple Silicon's unified memory architecture. Real-time develop adjustments run on Metal compute kernels, while neural segmentation masks are executed by the Apple Neural Engine (ANE) in under 250 milliseconds.
